This year two of our corporate partners Cambridge Cognition and The Psigma Foundation have each taken on numerous fundraising activities in support of CPT.

In 2017 we were delighted to be selected as Cambridge Cognition’s ‘Charity of the Year’. The team in Cambridge has been busy organising fundraising activities all year, including a Charity Ceilidh, fancy dress days, bake sales and a quiz night. In July an adventurous team of 12 even embarked on a mission to walk the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall!

“It was a great team effort with smiles all round regardless of the weather. On one of the longest days the team walked over 27 miles and munched their way through 10 bags of jelly babies! – Lizzie Remfry, Cambridge Cognition

They completed the 84-mile walk in just 3 days and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Cambridge Cognition for their amazing fundraising efforts this year.

In the final year of our partnership with Psigma Investment Management their team took on some epic cycling challenges to raise money for CPT, ‘Nait Babies’ and ‘Restart’.

In June, 12 Psigma colleagues cycled along the coast of Normandy in France, starting at Cherbourg and finishing in Rouen. With their grit and determination (along with support from a cheer-squad of colleagues) they overcame an unintentional detour relocating a missing rider, to complete the 300km ride in less than three days. They celebrated with a well-earned cold beer!

Not to be outdone, a three-man team from the Edinburgh Psigma office cycled 167 miles from Newcastle to Edinburgh in August. Their challenge took them along the gorgeous beaches of the Northumberland coast and 1000 feet up into the Moorfoot hills, before the last downhill leg into Edinburgh – where they were welcomed by a troupe of Korean tribal drummers visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

Thank you to everyone at Psigma for your support over the past two years, you have undertaken some incredible challenges to raise funds for our research and we are so grateful!

If you would like to find out more about becoming a corporate partner of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust we would be delighted to hear from you - please email Maisie or call 0207 487 3892, or visit our Corporate Fundraising page.
