Join the My Prudential Ride London Challenge

Over the weekend of the 15 -16 August, we’d like to invite you to join us for the nation-wide ‘virtual’ My Prudential RideLondon challenge. Get on your bike, scooter, skateboard, tandem, penny farthing, unicycle, roller skates – in fact any form of self-propelled wheels – around your local area to take part in support of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust’s (CPT) pioneering research into a cure for Parkinson’s.

There are four different challenges to choose from:

  • 19 miles for riders in search of a challenge
  • 46 miles for riders who want to push the boundaries
  • 100 miles for those who want to go all-out
  • Or the distance of your choice at My Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle

Riders of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in My Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle, which can be any distance and should suit your skills and the type of wheels you have – whether it’s 20 times round the block on your roller skates or a lap of your local park on your scooter.

How to get involved

  1. Choose your distance and use the booking button below to register
  2. Set up your own personalised fundraising page via JustGiving or through CPT’s My Prudential RideLondon VirginMoneyGiving Campaign. Alternatively if you would like to, you can make a donation to our team fundraising campaign to take part
  3. Share your challenge on social media and print your own bike bib using this toolkit. Don't forget to tag CPT and use #MyPRL in your social media posts. You may even inspire others to join in!
  4. Set your wheels in motion and complete your challenge over the weekend of the 15 -16 August
  5. Nominate a family member or friend to take on the My Prudential RideLondon challenge too

Why the My Prudential RideLondon Challenge is so important

At CPT, our events may have stopped, but our determination to find a cure for Parkinson’s has not. Events like the Prudential RideLondon, which was due to take place on 15-16 August, help us raise vital funds which power our research. The My Prudential Ridelondon has been adapted this year to help us in our mission to find treatments which have the potential to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s. In 2020, 95% of our events have been cancelled due to the pandemic, so your support during these uncertain times means more than ever.

Taking part for CPT

We truly appreciate the effort all our supporters put into fundraising for us. In return we will provide:

  • Support by a dedicated member of our team who will be on hand to offer you friendly and efficient support, by phone and e-mail, to help with any questions you may have.
  • The reassurance that the money you raise will be directed towards research in to treatments that have the potential to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.
