Join this year’s ‘virtual’ Edinburgh Marathon Festival Challenge around your local area in support of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT). Participants can choose how and when to take part in this virtual running event with different distances that can be completed anytime between now and the 31 December. You might like to tackle your distance in one go, or over multiple days - it’s your challenge, your choice!

There are multiple distances to choose: from a full marathon to a half marathon; a 5k run or a team relay (you can view the full list of distances here). Once you’ve completed your challenge you can register your results online with the Edinburgh Marathon Festival to receive your finishers medal, t-shirt and personalised certificate in the post.

How to take part in support of CPT

  1. Choose your distance and sign up using the booking button below. Please note there is a registration fee payable to the Edinburgh Marathon Festival to take part in this challenge.
  2. If you're able to, set up your own personalised fundraising page via JustGiving in support of CPT, asking your family and friends to sponsor you.
  3. Share your challenge on social media tagging CPT in your posts so we can follow your fundraising efforts – you may even inspire others to join in!

If you have already secured a place and would like to run in support of CPT or if you have any questions, we would love to hear from you - please contact Alex.

Running for CPT

We truly appreciate the effort all our runners put into fundraising for us. In return we will provide:

  • Support by a dedicated member of our team who will be on hand to offer you friendly and efficient support, by phone and e-mail, to help with any questions you may have.
  • The reassurance that the money you raise will be directed towards research in to treatments that have the potential to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

For more information about the race please visit the Edinburgh Marathon Festival website or contact Alex.
