AEGIS London announces Charity partnership The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) is delighted to have been chosen as one of AEGIS London’s charity partners. AEGIS London is a Lloyd’s of London syndicate that provides clients with specialist knowledge, continuity and security across many classes of insurance business. The company has over 130 employees and is part of a long-established mutual insurance business. CPT has been nominated to become one of the company’s charity partners after Simon Cooper, a member of staff at AEGIS, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2017. He is keen to shine a spotlight on the condition and to raise funds to help find a cure with the support of AEGIS. John Chambers from the AEGIS London Charity Committee said: “Given the fact that one of our members of staff has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, CPT was the perfect choice for us as a charity partner. Their aim to find a cure for Parkinson’s sends a message of hope to all who have this condition and the team at AEGIS are delighted to be helping them in their quest.” The Charity Committee will encourage employees to take on individual fundraising challenges over the next year, with plans to organise a bigger fundraising event for 2020 to raise funds for CPT’s research into treatments that can slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s. Will Cook, Chief Executive of CPT said: “We are delighted to be working with AEGIS to raise funds for research into a cure for Parkinson’s. We are already impressed with the energy and creativity of AEGIS’ Charity Committee members, management and staff, and look forward to a productive fundraising partnership with them.” Thank you to everyone at AEGIS London!
