The Cure Parkinson's Trust (CPT) is delighted to announce Rick Lay in a new role as Director of Fundraising and Marketing.

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2017, Rick was inspired to join CPT after the screening of the BBC Two programme ‘The Parkinson’s Drug Trial: a miracle cure?’- a two episode documentary following nine individuals including the late co-founder of the charity Tom Isaacs through a pioneering drug trial.

With a career that has spanned marketing and fundraising, including five years in senior leadership roles, Rick will focus on increasing donations and raising awareness of the charity’s single goal, to cure Parkinson’s. CPT's CEO, Will Cook said:

"We are delighted that Rick has joined CPT as our first ever Director of Fundraising & Marketing. Like the rest of our team, Rick is clearly dedicated to funding and finding the cure; over the coming months and years, our global research programme will benefit from his involvement. We believe that his knowledge, experience, talent and passion for this cause will help the charity move to the next level - raising even more funds and awareness to accelerate our search for a cure."
