Please donate today to support our ongoing work to find a cure for Parkinson's.

The Cure Parkinson’s Trust has been supporting a wide ranging portfolio of research: including the International Linked Clinical Trials programme, cell replacement therapies and regenerative medicine including GDNF since it was founded in 2005.

CPT is working to shape future research building on the findings from the recent GDNF trial. Research has indicated that GDNF could help to regrow the dopamine neurons which are lost in Parkinson’s. CPT funded the development of the breakthrough pinpoint delivery mechanism (CED) in 2008.

The results of the complete trial revealed some important insights and CPT is working closely with the lead investigators to map the next steps in the development of this vitally important programme of research and, crucially, we need your help.

The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) is the only organisation in the UK solely dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s.

Founded in 2005 by the late Tom Isaacs and three others with the condition, CPT funds cure focused science and clinical trials with the potential to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s.

Tom was selflessly committed to driving forward research both by direct funding and also by facilitating and taking part. He believed in everyone working together to find a cure: researchers, clinicians, charities and people living with Parkinson’s.

“It doesn't matter where the cure comes from as long as it is found!”
