The 2020 Cure Parkinson’s Cup Tournament The very first Cure Parkinson’s Cup is set to take place on 19 April 2020. Players with Parkinson’s of any ability, age or gender are invited to enter this exciting new tournament which is raising money for The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) and their work to fund potentially life-changing research. The tournament will be hosted by Worcester Warriors FC at their home ground of Sixways Stadium. Time: Gates open 10am, team registration from 10.30am Venue: Sixways Stadium, Sixways Stadium, Warriors Way, Worcester, WR3 8ZE Accommodation: Hotel rooms around Worcester for players and supporters have been reserved at preferential rates through Gullivers Sports Travel, Warriors’ Official Travel Partner. Please email [email protected] and quote the reference SPCPT to register your interest. On the day each five-a-side team will move through the group stage, where they will play ten-minute matches. This will be followed by a knock-out stage, and eventually a thrilling final to crown the winners of the first ever Cure Parkinson’s Cup. Aside from the competitive football, there will be plenty of entertainment to enjoy on the day including a fan zone, live music, children’s activities, food and drink, games and celebrity appearances from the sporting and entertainment world. The tournament is fully inclusive, and organisers are looking for players of all abilities, any degree of Parkinson’s symptoms, any age, any gender, any level of fitness.
