The Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Classic supports The Cure Parkinson's Trust Celebrities from the world of rugby, golf and entertainment joined rugby legend Mike Tindall at the 5th annual ISPS HANDA Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Classic 2017, held at The Belfry on Friday 19th May to help raise funds in support of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust and The Matt Hampson Foundation. Mike Tindall said, “What an unbelievable day. Through the day and with the evening auction we raised over £140,000 for the Matt Hampson Foundation and The Cure Parkinson’s Trust which is a fantastic amount. I am very thankful to both ISPS HANDA and Artemis who helped make it all possible and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came, played golf, donated prizes, bid on prizes or took part in any way.” Mike was joined by guests including Liverpool icon Kenny Dalglish, England cricketer Graeme Swann and F1 legend David Coulthard, as well as rugby stars Austin Healey and Iain Balshaw and television presenters Gethin Jones and Denise Van Outen. Guests enjoyed a fantastic round of golf on the world-famous Brabazon Course. The golf was followed by a gala dinner in the evening with a live and a silent auction and a short presentation from co-founder and President of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust, Tom Isaacs: “The Cure Parkinson’s Trust is incredibly proud to have been one of the beneficiary charities at the 5th annual ISPS HANDA Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Classic 2017. I have lived with Parkinson’s for 22 years and know too well the harsh realities of battling with this disease and the effect it has on people’s lives. We are exploring a number of new avenues of research which offer the genuine prospect of slowing, stopping or reversing this condition.” Above: Mike Tindall sets off the day...
