Our corporate partner Kames Capital recently held a fantastic virtual cake bake (pictured above) in support of CPT.  Staff donned their aprons and whipped up their favourite cakes with their families at home for virtual judging by the Kames charity committee and the chance to be crowned the winner. Together staff raised over £1,000 for CPT’s research into a cure for Parkinson’s and produced some truly delicious looking bakes! If you feel inspired why not hold your own virtual cake bake or share your creations and favourite cake recipes using the hashtag #ParkinsonsTogether.

Dave Logan has been continuing to create driftwood art from him home in Swindon with the unusual pieces of driftwood he has collected over the years from the beaches around the world. Inspired by the environment he finds them in, he creates wonderful boats, lighthouses and other seaside scenes such as the beach huts (pictured above) he is currently working on. If you have a creative hobby like Dave we’d love to hear from you. Please share your latest artistic creations using the hashtag #ParkinsonsTogether.

Supporter Simon Cooper with his family created this brilliant video to spread a bit of fun and encourage others to stay active. Even their gorgeous dog gets involved in the fun and games! Perhaps you'd like to take part as a family and creatively get active passing a loo roll around the garden! If you feel inspired why not create your own short video sharing it on social media using the hashtag #ParkinsonsTogether

CPT supporter Charlotte Allen, co-founder of the 'Parkinson’s Concierge', has created ‘Charlotte’s Virtual Kitchen’ (pictured above) sharing her love of cooking and favourite recipes with others on Facebook. From toad in the hole with hassle back potatoes, green beans and onion gravy to mouth-watering deserts like banoffee pie. If you’re a foodie looking for some cooking inspiration be sure to catch up with Charlotte in her delicious virtual kitchen or share your own favourite or new recipes using the hashtag #ParkinsonsTogether.

CPT supporter Joe Gregory (pictured above) was signed up to take part in the Cure Parkinson’s Cup in April, a football tournament for people with Parkinson’s to raise money for CPT. Sadly, due to public health concerns, the event has been postponed to take place later in the year but this hasn’t stopped Joe who remains determined to challenge himself and raise funds for CPT’s research into a cure. On the 14 April Joe will be attempting to complete 10,000 consecutive keepy-uppies in his garden - a remarkable undertaking! Joe said:

“Alongside playing in the Cure Parkinson’s Cup, I wanted to attempt an individual challenge too, one that would be difficult. I hope this could also be a positive story for people to follow, especially at the moment.”

Make sure you follow Joe’s brilliant challenge on twitter and share your favourite indoor or garden exercise routines on social media using the hashtag #ParkinsonsTogether.
