It is hugely encouraging to see that plans are progressing to allow both UK-based and international Parkinson’s clinical trials to restart following the restrictions placed on these studies during the COVID-19 outbreak. Research centres are currently carrying out important safety evaluations, and study teams are seeking approval to amend study protocols to ensure flexibility and additional use of technology where appropriate. We are hopeful that The Cure Parkinson’s Trust’s (CPT) International Linked Clinical Trials programme (iLCT) will resume in the coming weeks and months.

As researchers in the field of Parkinson’s take steps to invite patients back to take part in these face-to-face studies, we'd like to hear your views about returning to participate in research in the UK, if this affects you. Please spare a few minutes of your time to complete this survey by Parkinson’s UK which will help inform researchers and funders to progress their research in a way that reflects your needs. Thank you.
