Payroll Giving We work hard to plan ahead so we can make the best use of your donations. Through Payroll Giving, you can provide a regular and reliable income stream that allows us to budget for existing and future research projects. How does it work? Payroll donations are taken out before tax, so a £10 donation would only cost you £8 (depending on your tax rate) It is simple and easy to set up - no bank details required You can change or stop your donation at any time Donations through payroll giving are taken from your gross salary, which reduces the amount of income tax deducted: Your monthly donation to us Basic rate taxpayer (20% tax) Higher rate taxpayer (40% tax) Highest rate taxpayer (45% tax) Actual cost to you Amount you save Actual cost to you Amount you save Actual cost to you Amount you save £5.00 £4.00 £1.00 £3.00 £2.00 £2.75 £2.25 £10.00 £8.00 £2.00 £6.00 £4.00 £5.50 £4.50 £20.00 £16.00 £4.00 £12.00 £8.00 £11.00 £9.00 £100.00 £80.00 £20.00 £60.00 £40.00 £55.00 £45.00 What do you need to do?
