Payroll Giving We work hard to plan ahead so we can make the best use of your donations. Through Payroll Giving, you can provide a regular and reliable income stream that allows us to budget for existing and future research projects. How does it work? Payroll donations are taken out before tax, so a £10 donation would only cost you £8 (depending on your tax rate) It is simple and easy to set up - no bank details required You can change or stop your donation at any time Payroll Giving lets you support multiple charities at a time Donations through payroll giving are taken from your gross salary, which reduces the amount of income tax deducted: Your monthly donation to us Basic rate taxpayer (20% tax) Higher rate taxpayer (40% tax) Highest rate taxpayer (45% tax) Actual cost to you Amount you save Actual cost to you Amount you save Actual cost to you Amount you save £5.00 £4.00 £1.00 £3.00 £2.00 £2.75 £2.25 £10.00 £8.00 £2.00 £6.00 £4.00 £5.50 £4.50 £20.00 £16.00 £4.00 £12.00 £8.00 £11.00 £9.00 £100.00 £80.00 £20.00 £60.00 £40.00 £55.00 £45.00 Alison and Grant generously support The Cure Parkinson's Trust through Payroll Giving: “Payroll Giving really works for us as we can make decisions at the start of the year about how much of our earnings we want to go to charity, set up all of those charities in one place and the money is deducted out of our salary before we even see it - with the added bonus that our tax is all correctly adjusted for it too.” What do you need to do? All you need to do is fill out a simple application form which can be found here. Your donations will then show up on your payslip. In order to donate regularly to us through your salary, your employer will need to operate a 'Payroll Giving scheme'. If you aren’t sure if they do, please fill in the form anyway and we will be able to let you know. If your employer doesn't operate a payroll giving scheme, perhaps we can help you introduce it to your workplace. At The Cure Parkinson's Trust we use Payroll Giving in Action to represent us to employees. They are a reputable payroll giving company and if you would like more information on their fundraising policies please visit their website. Please download our FAQs or contact Ella Rogers to find out more about Payroll Giving.
