The Cure Parkinson’s Trust’s (CPT) own Rachel Cunniffe held a fantastic ‘Party for Parkinson’s Research’ on Friday 1st November at Rickmansworth Lawn Tennis Club in Hertfordshire to help raise awareness and funds for CPT’s pioneering Parkinson’s research.

Over 100 family, friends and colleagues attended the musical evening (pictured above) to see Rachel perform a collection of hits from motown, soul, pop and rock with her band that includes her partner Ryan on guitar, and friends Luke on bass and Bertie on drums.

There was also a charity raffle with fantastic prizes from acupuncture and pilates sessions to vinyl records, a cinema bundle and meals out at local eateries. The evening raised over £1,000 for CPT’s research programme.

In October Rachel also took part in the Ricky Road Run (pictured below at the finish line with her Sprocker, Rosie) conquering the scenic, hilly 10 mile route around Rickmansworth and Chorleywood in Hertfordshire as part of a team of 40 CPT runners.
